Email [email protected], if possible from the address of your Nonagram account. We usually reply within two business days, in English, French, Spanish, Italian or Portuguese.
My sign-in code never arrives
Each time you sign in with email, we send you a 6-digit code. If it doesn't show up, check your spam folder and make sure you typed the address you signed up with. A code is only valid for a short while — request a fresh one from the sign-in screen. You can also sign in with Apple or Google.
Nonagram goes down during Spanish football matches
Spain's football league, LaLiga, obtained a court order against pirate streams — and Spanish internet providers enforce it by blocking whole ranges of shared internet addresses during matches. Thousands of legitimate websites go down with them, and Nonagram is regularly one of them. In Spain the app may not connect at all during a match; and because part of our infrastructure sits behind one of those providers, uploads can fail for everyone, in every country, while a match is on.
Your photos and your account are fine, and a photo that failed to upload is still on your phone. Service returns when the match window ends — usually weekend evenings, within a few hours. You can see the blocks live.
How do I join a board?
Boards are invite-only: someone on the board (on private boards, an admin) sends you an invite link. Open it on your phone with Nonagram installed, and the board appears in the app.
What is my recovery passphrase?
Photos on encrypted boards are sealed with keys that exist only on your devices — we never have them. Your recovery passphrase is what unlocks your boards on a new phone or after a reinstall. Keep it somewhere safe: because we cannot read your boards, we cannot reset the passphrase either. If you lose it, shared boards reopen when another member's phone grants you access again; boards where you are the only member cannot be recovered.
How do I show a board on a TV?
Open nonagram.org/display in the browser of any TV, computer or tablet, then scan the QR code from the app. The board plays without installing anything.
Someone posted something that shouldn't be there

How do I delete my account?
You can delete your account from inside the app in under a minute. The Delete account page explains the steps and exactly what gets removed.
